How can "unlecturing" traditional lectures change the classroom dynamic to relevant discussions and meaningful student creation? Our SXSW EDU proposal is to run a workshop where participants can discover how standards-based content can be "unlectured" to facilitate student question formation, classroom discussion, and student creation. We want to build this 2 hour hands-on workshop applicable to secondary and higher ed subject areas beyond the content that we teach!
The public voting for this proposal closed on August 30, 2018.
We want to thank the community---our workshop proposal was selected!!!! We are so excited to have the opportunity to present it at SXSW Edu 2019 in March 4-7 in Austin, TX. SXSW Edu is a great conference to attend; we have always learned so much from other educators there. We hope to see you there.
